ALEXANDER AND BUCEPHALUS
Bucephalus was the war horse of Alexander the Great and arguably the most famous horse in world history. Alexander rode Bucephalus until the horse's death at the Battle of the Hydaspes in 326 B.C.E. In honor of his beloved steed, a local city, Bucephala, was named after him.
